JAKARTA- A total of 96 bags of blood was produced on an activity commemorating Month Health and Safety (K3) and the 53rd Anniversary at Grha Angkasa Pura I Kemayoran on Wednesday (3/1). This activity was opened by the Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Danang S. Baskoro and was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Central Jakarta Bayu Meghantara and Secretary of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Central Jakarta Asep Juanda Sunarya.
“We believe that the need for blood in this country is very large, so that events like this are very helpful for our brothers who are in need to make a living,” said Danang S.Baskoro who also became the first donor to this activity.
Meanwhile, Bayu Meghantara expressed his gratitude to the employees of Angkasa Pura Airports, for their willingness to donate their blood. “Thanks to friends Angkasa Pura Airports who have been willing to donate their blood. May the blood donation can become part of the lifestyle trends of society, including for all friends in the Angkasa Pura Airports, said Bayu in his speech.
Activities started at 10:00 and ended at 14:30, it was quite charming enthusiasm of employees. Evidence by the number of participants increased compared to last year’s execution. This year there were 146 participants blood donors, whereas participants last year of 120. However, of the total entries this year, just as many as 96 participants who met medical criteria for becoming a blood donor, increased by only 1 person compared to last year that as many as 95 participants. While the remaining 50 participants do not fit the medical criteria to donate for reasons of weight less than 45 kilograms, HB levels are low, and medical history such as hypertension, high levels of HB and others.
Blood donation is an annual event which is conducted by the Head Office of Angkasa Pura Airports and almost all branches of the airport, such as Juanda International Aiport in Surabaya, Lombok International Airport Praya, El Tari Kupang Airport, International Airport Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Sepinggan Balikpapan, Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang, Syamsudin Noor Airport Banjarmasin.
In the future, Danang S. Baskoro said that this blood donation event is going to be intensified. “We highly appreciate the activity. If it can be done on a periodic basis every 6 months, said Danang. The participants were not only from employees of Angkasa Pura Airport I, but also from the employees of subsidiaries and agencies around the office Angkasa Pura Airports as Danpera, Gapura, TNI, Fire Fighter Department, BMKG, and Flight Health Center.
