Ahmad Yani Airport Achieved Certificate Of Occupational Safety And Health Management System (SMK3) From Ministry Of Manpower

Semarang, February 28, 2018 - Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang managed by Angkasa Pura Airports has achieved a certificate of Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) with Gold Flag from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. This Achievement made Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang as the first airport in Indonesia to successfully got certificate of SMK3 Golden Flag with advanced category. The delivery of SMK3 certificate was given directly by Angkasa Pura Airports Operation Director Wendo Asrul Rose to General Manager of Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, Maryanto at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Semarang, Wednesday (28/2).

"The Golden Flag Certificate of SMK3 achieved by Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang is a commitment of Angkasa Pura Airports in the management of Occupational Safety and Health in running the airport business as mandated by the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 50 Year 2012 on Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System," said by Angkasa Pura Airports Operation Director Wendo Asrul Rose.

In addition to Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang, which won the Golden Flag Certificate of SMK3, 3 other Angkasa Pura Airports Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Sultan Aji Airport Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Balipapan and Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo managed to get certificate of Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS ) 18001: 2007 and recommended to get the golden flag certificate of SMK3 from Ministry of Manpower of Republic of Indonesia. Submission of certificate of OHSAS 18001: 2007 was given by Wendo Asrul Rose to General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Yanus Suprayogi, General Manager of SAMS Sepinggan Airport, Handy Heryudhitiawan and General Manager of Adi Soemarmo Airport Solo, Usman Abdullah.

The Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) was intended to enable every company to minimize risks and reduce the level of work accidents, as well as work diseases effectively and efficiently, which ultimately can increase the company's productivity in accordance with the demands and competition of global business.

SMK3 contained guidelines on the implementation of safety and health management. Implementation of SMK3 provided an overview of the steps and things that need to be done in making the planning implementation of SMK3 starting from the initial planning, the implementation process to the activities to be carried out in monitoring, and review of the system that has been implemented.

"The implementation of SMK3 in Angkasa Pura Airports is one of the company's strategic objectives to implement world-class management system. In the future all airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports will implement the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) based on national regulations and international standards," added Wendo Asrul Rose.
