SEMARANG- Angkasa Pura Airports supported the implementation of Ramadan bazaar activities, organized by the Ministry of Transportation at Luhur Wahid Hasyim Islamic Boarding School, Sampangan Urban Village, Semarang City, Wednesday (16/5). In the event Angkasa Pura I provided 500 packages of affordable food, which will be put on sale for community around Luhur Wahid Hasyim Islamic Boarding School.
"We support this bazaar activity is because Angkasa Pura Airports has one commitment in supporting the improvement of community walfare," said Adi Nugroho, Director of Human Resources & General Adi Nugroho.
In this bazaar, people around Luhur Wahid Hasyim Islamic Boarding School, Sampangan Region, can buy affordable package of groceries worth IDR 150.000, - and they can buy it for only IDR 50.000 per package. The packages consists of rice 5 kg, 2 liter cooking oil and 2 kg sugar. In the end, Angkasa Pura Airports will donate all benefits worth IDR. 25 million to Luhur Wahid Hasyim Islamic Boarding School for their operational cost.
"Through this bazaar event, we hope we can help the community around Luhur Wahid Hasyim Boarding School to elleviate their cost, in particularly to fulfill their needs during the Holy Month of Ramadan,” Adi Nugroho added.
Sulastri (56) the residents of Sampangan Region welcomed the bazaar activity. "Thank you to Angkasa Pura Airports and the Ministry of Transportation which has provided us with affordable groceries, hopefully this kind of activity can be held more frequently every year," he said.
The activities of Transportation Bazaar 2018 were supported by a number of parties, including the Transportation Human Resources Development Agency of The Transportation Ministry, Sailing Polytechnic of Semarang, Sea Port Authority of Tanjung Emas, Semarang Class II Navigation District, Central Java Police, Military District Commander of Semarang, Police Resort of Semarang, and Bureau of Communications and Public Information of Transportion Ministry.

On this occasion, Angkasa Pura Airports also distributed Environmental Donation to Luhur Wahid Hasyim Islamic Boarding School worth IDR 75.000.000,-. The donation was symbolically handed over by the Director of Human Resources and General Angkasa Pura Airports, Adi Nugroho to the Rector of Wahid Hasyim University, Mahmutarrom. "Through the delivery of environmental donation we hope we can support the improvement of educational facilities and infrastructures for students at Luhur Wahid Hasyim Islamic Boarding School," add Adi.
