Angkasa Pura Airports Won "The Most Excellent Airport in Safety and Services" in 2018 Bisnis Indonesia Award

Jakarta - Angkasa Pura Airports won a Special Award as "The Most Excellent Airport in Safety and Services" at the Business Indonesia Award (BIA) 2018 event organized by Bisnis Indonesia Daily. The award trophy was handed over by the President Commissioner of PT Jurnalindo Aksara Grafika (publisher of Bisnis Indonesia Daily) Hariyadi Sukamdani to the Managing Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Faik Fahmi at the BIA 2018 awards ceremony at Raffles Hotel Jakarta on Monday (7/5).

"The Award for 'The Most Excellent Airport in Safety and Services' at the Business Indonesia Awards event is a special award that appreciates the performance of Angkasa Pura Airports, especially performance in the field of safety and service besides financial performance In order to maintain safety and service aspect, Angkasa Pura Airports always working with the world's premier airport counseling organization Airport Council International to conduct Airport Excellence (APEX) in Safety training and assessment in almost all airports of Angkasa Pura Airports  to maintain safety, compliance and safety standards in accordance with established standards by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)," said by the President Director of Angkasa Pura Airports Faik Fahmi.

In the field of service, Faik Fahmi continued, Angkasa Pura Airports' airports were also assessed at the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award event, which is the only global benchmarking program to measure the level of passenger satisfaction at airports also conducted by ACI.

For information, in March 2018, three airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports achieved the prestigious achievements of the world-level ASQ Awards 2017 hosted by Airport Council International (ACI). The three airports were the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali Airport which has won awards in three categories where one of them was "1st place Best Airport by Size: 15-25 million passenger per year", Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) Airport Sepinggan Balikpapan grabbed award "The 2nd place Best Airport by Size: 5-15 million passenger per year", and Surabaya Juanda Airport awarded "The 3rd place Best Airport by Size: 15-25 million passenger per year".

The award from Bisnis Indonesia Award was the third award received by Angkasa Pura Airports in May after receiving the award on May 4 as "HR Best Asia Companies to Work For in Asia 2018 - Indonesia Chapter" from HR Asia Magazine and on May 2, Winner "The Most Promising Company in Strategic Marketing and Tactical" at the BUMN Marketers Award 2018 held Public Relations BUMN Forum in cooperation with Markplus Inc. On April 30, Angkasa Pura Airports won the "Best Partnership Program & Community Development" award in Transportation and Warehousing category in the Appreciation of Partnership and Community Development Program 2018 organized by Warta Ekonomi Magazine.

BIA has been done since 2002. BIA 2018 assessment of "Excellent Growth" is calculated based on the period of financial statements for the last three years, i.e. 2015-2017. The three-year period is a phase of business growth filled with challenges, especially on the company's financial performance. In the category of special award, given to selected companies (issuers and non-issuers) and determined by the board of editors based on a number of strict parameters and criteria.
