Jakarta, April 2nd, 2017 – Associated with the news about the prohibition of carrying electronic equipment (laptops/tablets) per April the first, 2017 into the aircraft cabin by the media in East Java, citing the Public Relation of Angkasa Pura Airports Branch Office Juanda Airport in media Surabaya – East Java, we clarify and confirm that the statement has been canceled by us because it has no legal basis.

Implementation of the electronic goods inspection at airports is referring to the following provisions:

1. Decree of Aviation General Directorate Number SKEP/2765/XII/2010.

2. Circular letter of Aviation General Directorate Number SE.6 year 2016. Angkasa Pura Airport has always been commited to prioritize passenger safety and security of air transportation services as an essential aspect of running a business of airport.
