Up To September 2017, Profit of Angkasa Pura Airports Grows 24.13%

JAKARTA - Angkasa Pura Airports managed to record the company's profit after tax growth of 24.13% up to September 2017 when compared with the same period last year 2016. The company's airport operational profit in the central to eastern part of Indonesia reached 1.54 trillion IDR, while last year was only 1.24 trillion IDR. The increase in profit is in line with the company's revenue increase of 20.24 percent from 4.64 trillion IDR in January to September 2016 to 5.58 trillion IDR in the same period this year.

Aeronautical businesses accounted for 57% of total revenues or 3.24 trillion IDR. This figure is up 20.96% from the period January - September 2016 which is only 2.67 trillion IDR. Meanwhile, non-aeronautical business was recorded at 2.12 trillion IDR, up 14.53 percent from the same period last year of 1.85 trillion IDR. In terms of passenger traffic, Angkasa Pura Airports also recorded 6.2% passenger growth in 13 airports under management until September 2017. In this period, Angkasa Pura Airports served 66.9 million passengers, while in the same period last year only 63 million passengers.

Angkasa Pura Airports also recorded an increase in aircraft movement until September 2017, amounting to 583 thousand movements or 3.14% growth compared to the movement in the same period last year as many as 565 thousand aircraft movement. While the cargo actually grew double digits, which amounted to 15.4%, with a total of 295 thousand tons compared to 2016 ago this only reached 256 thousand tons.

"With this achievement until September, we are confident the target to serve 90 million passengers in 2017 can be achieved. This figure means passengers grew about 7% compared to last year's recorded traffic of 84.7 million people. In terms of aeronautical production, there is a slight increase in landing service, placement and aircraft storage (PJP4U) of 1.54%, from 20 million tons in the period from January to September 2016 to 21 million tons in the same period in 2017. Services of passenger aircraft (PJP2U) grew 5.98% to 30 million pax, in the period January - September 2017 from 28 million pax, in the same period last year. Increased production of aeronautics is caused by the addition of the number of flights and new routes at several airports. The addition of domestic flights took place at Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Lombok International Airport, Yogyakarta Adi Sutjipto Airport, Solo Adi Soemarmo Airport, Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, and Kupang El Tari Airport. While the addition of international flights occurred at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Lombok International Airport, and Manado Sam Ratulangi Airport.

Meanwhile, the new domestic route takes place I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Manado Sam Ratulangi Airport, Lombok International Airport, and Adi Soemarmo Solo Airport. The international route takes place at Makassar Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, Lombok International Airport, Yogyakarta Adi Sutjipto Airport and Adi Soemarmo Airport.
