ASQ is the only global benchmarking program that measures airport passenger satisfaction by Airports Council International (ACI), a leading international airport organization based in Montreal, Canada.

"Improving airport passenger satisfaction ratings at the airport through the ASQ survey in the second quarter by ACI demonstrates our commitment to always strive to maintain and improve our service standards for airport service users, especially airline passengers, in order to realize service excellence. An indicator of the realization of Angkasa Pura Airports' vision that wants to be one of the top ten best airport managers in Asia," said by PT Angkasa Pura I President Director Danang S. Baskoro on Monday (24/7/2017).

Meanwhile, at the Asia Pacific level, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Bali occupies the 8th position of a total of 96 airports assessed in ASQ second quarter 2017. The position of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is up 4 ranks from 12th position in the first quarter 2017.

"We hope that until the fourth quarter of this year our service performance for passengers at airports can increase and achieve the best accumulative rating by the end of the year," Danang said.

Each year, ACI conducts a quarterly survey on four quarters where quarterly results will be accumulated to become annual ratings in various categories. Since 2006, the ASQ survey has conducted passenger satisfaction assessments of airport services in more than 250 airports worldwide.

Each year, the program interviews 600 thousand airport users in 41 languages in 81 countries worldwide. The program measures opinions through 34 performance indicators, including airport access, check-in, security screening, shopping and restaurant facilities, and toilets.

Survey questions and mechanisms are conducted equally across all airports to create an industry database that allows each airport to compare themselves to other airports in the world. Scientific methodology, rigorous quality control procedures, and a commitment to impartiality in any ASQ survey assessments make it a standard for measuring passenger satisfaction at airports. [AD]
