JAKARTA - The number of passengers at 13 airports managed by Angkasa Pura Airports on H-7 to H-2 on Christmas and New Year 2018 (18-23 December 2017) for domestic and international has reached 1.716.600 million passengers or increased by 6.57% compared to the same period in the previous year which reached 1.609.801 million passengers. The domestic and international aircraft traffic were also increased by 13.026 aircraft movement or increased by 7.92%, when compared to the same period in the previous year of 12.070 aircraft movements.
"On the H-2 holiday, 302.305 passengers came and departed from 13 airports that we managed, or increased 6.67% compared to the previous year which reached 278.242 passengers. The increase in passenger traffic is quite high at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar with 45.454 passengers or 22.21% increase compared to 37.193 passengers in the previous year. This is also followed by an increase in movement of aircraft by 353 movements or up 14.98% compared to the previous year of 307 movements," said by Faik Fahmi, Director of Angkasa Pura Airports.
Based on data from the Center of Command of Angkasa Pura Airports Jakarta Head Office on monitoring of 13 airports operated by Angkasa Pura Airports since H-7 to H-2, Frans Kaisiepo Biak Airport has significantly increased passengers up to 9.261 passengers or increased by 36.07% the previous year amounted to 6.809 passengers and the movement of aircraft by 142 movements or an increase of 44.90%. Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang experienced the second largest passenger increase of 95.541 passengers, up 18.49% from 80,633 passengers and 708 movements or 17.80%.
